KINGMAN

A Family Bread Workshop will be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. Learn about wheat, yeast and nutrition of breads.
Participants will have the opportunity to grind wheat, mix and knead dough, and shape a loaf of bread to take home. Any individual and/or family can participate, but young children must be accompanied by parent or guardian. The suggested youth age is 7 and older.
The University of Arizona Mohave County Cooperative Extension is sponsoring the program, which will be conducted at the Mohave Agriculture Center, 101 E. Beale St. The registration fee is $2 for each person making a loaf of bread. Today is the last day to pre-register. Call (928) 753-3788.


KINGMAN

The American Red Cross Grand Canyon Chapter is holding a volunteer recruitment event Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Del E. Webb Wellness Center, 1719 Beverly Ave.
In addition to discussing disaster response in the area, the Red Cross wants to introduce community members to the humanitarian organization and recruit more volunteers to strengthen the city's disaster response team.
Right now there are four Red Cross emergency services volunteers in Kingman. They will be on hand to share their experiences and answer questions. The Red Cross provides free training. To learn more about the Grand Canyon Chapter, visit www.arizonaredcross.org or call (800) 842-7349.


BULLHEAD CITY

Debra Krahel, who has been a guest on "Dateline," the "Oprah Show," "20/20" and other news media, will speak at the Bullhead City campus of Mohave Community College today at 3 p.m. in Room 210.
Following Krahel's discovery and disclosure of University of California reproductive health physicians stealing human embryos, she became an activist for change. She helped enact legislation in California creating felony consequences for stealing of human bio-reproductive material.
No RSVP is needed and attendees need not be students at MCC to participate. The campus is at 3400 Highway 95 in Bullhead City, just north of the Parkway.
