GOLDEN VALLEY - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man who reportedly threatened to shoot his wife and daughter Tuesday night.
Deputies responded to a weapons offense call at about 11 p.m. in the 3300 block of Malibu Road. While they were en route, dispatchers advised them Michael Anthony Cardinale, 63, of Golden Valley was threatening to shoot everyone in the home.
According to Mohave County Sheriff's spokeswoman Trish Carter, deputies utilized a public announcement system to order the people inside to exit.
Cardinale's wife and adult daughter came out unharmed. Deputies learned that prior to their arrival, his wife had taken the .22-caliber handgun from her husband and placed it outside the home.
Deputies also learned that Cardinale allegedly pointed the handgun at his wife's chest and threatened to kill her. He allegedly also pointed the weapon at his daughter.
Deputies entered the home and took a reportedly intoxicated Cardinale into custody.

As someone who experienced and saw so much domestic abuse in Golden Valley both personally and by my neighborhood... I am glad to see the sheriffs dept. being proactive towards it.... My experience has been that nobody wants to get "involved" and they all turn a blind eye and ignore the messenger, this is NO Excuse!
