GV man arrested for possessing child porn
GOLDEN VALLEY - For the second time in as many weeks, a Golden Valley man has been arrested amid allegations he possessed child pornography.
Thomas Sidney McInvale Jr., 48, reportedly admitted the images of child pornography that Mohave County Sheriff's detectives found on his home computer were his.
McInvale was taken into custody Friday afternoon without incident.
He faces 10 felony charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.
An unidentified third party notified detectives.
On Sept. 5, Eulalio Trejo Hernandez, 18, of Golden Valley was charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children notified Mohave County detectives there was evidence Hernandez had certain images on his cell phone that he shared with other parties via an online social network.
Man had relationship with teen, 15, KPD alleges
KINGMAN - A Kingman man was arrested and charged with felonies after a teenager told her mother the pair had been sexually involved.
Hua Rong Chen, aka Owen, who faces seven felony counts of sexual conduct with a minor, reportedly admitted to engaging in a sexual relationship with the 15-year-old Kingman girl for the past two months.
According to Deputy Chief Rusty Cooper, the girl told her mother about the relationship with Chen, 30, a family friend, on or about Aug. 19. The sexual conduct reportedly occurred at both her home and Chen's.
Detectives on Thursday completed their investigation and arrested Chen at his place of employment in the 1800 block of Kino Ave. After a search warrant was issued, police searched his home in the 3500 block of Verdugo Road.
Dolan Springs man fired at son's feet, MCSO says
DOLAN SPRINGS - A Dolan Springs man took the notion of tough love a step or two too far Saturday when he allegedly fired a .38 caliber pistol into the ground at his son's feet.
Gary B. Wiens, 76, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon per domestic violence, a felony, after he reportedly told Mohave County Sheriff's deputies he fired the gun in an attempt to scare his adult son, who was walking in the 30200 block of Haystack Drive.
A caller who lives in the area called deputies to report witnessing Wiens park his Honda passenger vehicle near her residence, get out and yell at another man who was walking down the road before firing his gun at the man, who kept walking.
Later, deputies stopped the Honda in the area of Pierce Ferry Road and Meadview Boulevard. They confiscated a .38 caliber handgun after Wiens reportedly confessed to firing the weapon in the direction of his son.
