Join! “Friends of Arizona Joshua Tree Forest” On Friday, October 13 at 9:00am we will meet at our kiosk to celebrate the grand opening of our nature trail as well as Public Lands Day. Our trail can now be accessed from a hiker's gate which was installed recently. At this celebration we will have a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by a drawing for a prize which everyone who attends the event will be eligible to win. Then all participants will be encouraged to walk the short trail and enjoy the magnificent views of our Joshua Tree Forest. We are so fortunate in this great country to have public lands protected and kept in trust for us and our future generations. These public lands are essential to our robust outdoor economy which keeps our communities healthy and viable as well as giving us as individuals places to recreate and renew ourselves in unspoiled nature. We look forward to seeing you at our kiosk which is located at the corner of Pierce Ferry and Diamond Bar Roads on October 13.
