KINGMAN - Cascades Tissue Group will be bringing 16 new jobs to its Kingman plant over the next year with the expansion of its production line in December.
The company, which has been in continuous operation here since 2004, will be installing an additional state-of-the-art bath converting line to the facility in December. The line will cut large rolls of paper into small rolls.
Located in the Kingman Airport & Industrial Park, the company manufactures toilet paper, napkins and paper towels. It recently signed a new lease agreement for another 10 years, which cleared the way for the expansion. Currently, there are 82 employees at the plant.
"We are proud to be an integral part of the Kingman industrial complex and providing stable, well-paying jobs for our community," said plant manager Luc Beaudoin.
The industrial park is located about five miles north of I-40 along Route 66 and is home to about 75 businesses employing more than 2,100 people. Tenants include American Woodmark, West Coast Netting, Kingman Airline Services, Laron Inc., Luseaux Laboratories and StarRfoam Manufacturing.
Recently, Scot Industries, a tubing, piston and bar supplier, signed a lease and moved into the old Jeld-Wen facility at the park. The company has plants in Wisconsin, Texas, Illinois, Washington state, Alabama, Ohio and Ontario, Canada.
Hiring for the new positions at Cascades will take place through Mohave County One-Stop Career Center.
