KINGMAN - Bank robbers aren't catching any breaks from the
Kingman Police Department
Officers arrested Cody M. Salisbury, 25, of Golden Valley at 5:40 p.m. Dec. 5 for felony robbery after they spotted him walking down Andy Devine Avenue with an alcoholic drink in his hand.
Officers believe Salisbury is the man who robbed Compass Bank on Stockton Hill Road Dec. 4.
The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
According to KPD spokeswoman Jennifer Sochocki, the department received at least five or six tips pointing to Salisbury after surveillance photos of the Compass bank robber were printed in local newspapers and posted on the Internet.
When Salisbury was arrested, he allegedly admitted to the robbery and said he was walking to the police department to turn himself in.
An investigation revealed that Salisbury had allegedly used the money to pay a court fine.
The Compass Bank robbery came one day after Kingman Police officers arrested Robert Wallace, 71, minutes after he allegedly robbed Mohave State Bank on Stockton Hill Road.
Wallace is also accused of robbing the Bank of America in Kingman on Nov. 22 and a Bullhead City branch of Wells Fargo on Nov. 14.
