KINGMAN - One man was critically injured and another was jailed Friday night following a traffic accident involving an all-terrain vehicle and a pickup.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to the accident at the intersection of Benton Street and Thompson Avenue at about 7:20 p.m.
Jamie Eldon Hoehne, 41, of Kingman, reportedly told deputies that he and a passenger were on the ATV, which did not have a functioning headlight, when the crash occurred. He told deputies he couldn't see the stop sign and struck a truck.
The unidentified passenger was taken by air to a Las Vegas hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Hoehne reportedly told deputies he had been drinking and a record check revealed his driver's license was suspended. Hoehne reportedly registered a blood alcohol concentration of 0.117.
He was charged with felony aggravated DUI and aggravated assault and was taken into custody without incident.
