A Kingman man faces 15 felony charges alleging he sent pornographic images and sexually-explicit messages to a 15-year-old girl.
Brian Ashley Beckham, 36, was arrested Tuesday afternoon following a
Mohave County Sheriff's Office
investigation that began Dec. 11.
Detectives responded that day to Lee Williams High School, where the alleged victim told school officials that Beckham made sexual advances for more than a year.
He allegedly sent her pornographic images he culled from the Internet to her cell phone, as well as text messages asking the girl for sexual favors, according to Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Trish Carter.
The victim told detectives the crimes have occurred over a 14-month period beginning in October 2012.
Carter in an email said detectives confirmed the images and text messages were sent from Beckham's phone to the girl's phone. He was arrested after an interview was conducted at the Sheriff's Office at about noon on Christmas Eve.
Beckham denies any involvement, said Carter.
He faces five class 2 felony counts of aggravated luring of a minor for sexual exploitation, five class 3 felony counts of luring a minor for sexual exploitation and five class 4 felony counts of furnishing harmful material to a minor.
