KINGMAN - A suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash after robbing the National Bank of Arizona branch in Golden Valley late Friday afternoon.
Mohave County Sheriff's Office
Spokeswoman Trish Carter, two employees were the only people in the bank when the suspect entered dressed in dark clothing at about 5:30 p.m. The witnesses said the man wore blue jeans, a black jacket, a black ski mask and grey gloves.
Carter said the suspect is believed to be about 5-foot-10 to 5-11 with a medium to stocky build. He has blond eyebrows and bright blue eyes.
The man demanded money but did not brandish a weapon, Carter said. He left on foot, and Carter said investigators don't know if he had a vehicle nearby.
No one was injured.
Free-lance photographer Herberta Schroeder of Kingman happened upon the crime scene shortly after sunset. She said the response included six vehicles from the MCSO, one highway patrol unit and a helicopter with a searchlight circling overhead.
Schroeder said officers spent a lot of time searching through the bush around the complex, which includes Uptown Drug and Valley Medical Center in its location just off Highway 68.
