History Day comes to Kingman

KINGMAN - National History Day takes place Saturday and 135 students - from sixth-graders to high school seniors, representing 66 entries in the regional competition - will vie for awards at Lee Williams High School from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Student-created entries span a wide range of topics, including women's rights, gay rights, the Boston Tea Party and the Mohave Downwinders.
A performance on civil rights will take place on the football field.
The event is open to the public and awards will be presented following the judging.
