KINGMAN - The deadline for Arizona's 2014 fall draw for hunting deer, turkey, javelina, bighorn sheep, buffalo and pheasant 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Arizona Game and Fish must actually receive draw applications by the time and date of the deadline. Postmarks don't count.
There are three ways to apply for the fall draw: online, in person or by mail.
Online: Visit az.gov/app/huntdraw/home.xhtml and scroll down to the "Apply for a Draw" link.
Don't wait until the last minute to log on. The high volume of last-minute draw applications can cause the website to slow down or become temporarily unavailable.
Technical problems can also occur that may prevent hunters from uploading and completing online applications by the deadline.
In person: Drop off applications at any of the seven Game and Fish offices statewide. Offices are located in Pinetop, Flagstaff, Kingman, Yuma, Tucson, Mesa and Phoenix. Visit www.azgfd.gov/offices for office addresses and directions.
By mail: Draw applications may be mailed, but the applications must be received by Game and Fish before the deadline.
Department office locations statewide will be open until 7 p.m. on Tuesday to receive dropped-off applications.
However, front counter customer service for regular business transactions, including the sale of fishing and hunting licenses, will close at the regular time, 5 p.m.
To participate in the draw, applicants must have a hunting license or combination hunting/fishing license that is valid as of the draw application deadline.
If you don't already have your license, you can buy it through the draw application process at the time you are applying for the draw, or you can buy it separately (in advance of submitting your draw application) at license dealers, at Game and Fish offices, or online at www.azgfd.gov/eservices/licenses.shtml.
