On June 6, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested David James Nyhouse, 33, of Kingman on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies responded to a verbal altercation between a man and woman in the area of John L Avenue and Norrie Drive at about 11:20 a.m.
Nyhouse reportedly told deputies that nothing was going on. He reportedly consented to a search and deputies allegedly found a plastic bag containing methamphetamine and the associated paraphernalia. Nyhouse was taken into custody without incident.
On June 6, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Douglas Ralph Sperling, 53, and Carl Glen Smith, 45, both of Kingman on a felony charge of second-degree burglary following an investigation that began June 2 regarding an incident at a home in the 4400 block of Charles Drive. A woman called law enforcement after observing two men in her neighbor's home while the neighbor was away. She told deputies she recognized the men as other neighbors. The men did not answer the door when deputies knocked.
On June 5, deputies contacted the 35-year-old victim, who told deputies the men did not have permission to be in her home. When contacted, Smith and Sperling reportedly told deputies they were in the home to "warn a guy to stay away from the house." They were taken into custody without incident.
Failures to appear
On June 6, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Cruz Alberto Ruvalcaba, 30, and Amanda Sue Rick, 31, both of Golden Valley. Ruvalcaba was arrested on a felony failure to appear warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court and two criminal trespassing warrants issued by Kingman Municipal Court. Rick was arrested on a felony failure to appear warrant issued by Commissioner Court, two failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant and a probation violation warrant, both issued by Kingman Municipal Court. Deputies responded to a home in the 4600 block of Elroy Road regarding the warrants. They were taken into custody without incident.
On June 7, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Nicole Janell Nelson, 29, of Kingman on three felony warrants for failure to appear issued by Mohave County Superior Court and false report to law enforcement, a misdemeanor. Deputies came into contact with Nelson at a home in the 3700 block of Shaeffer Avenue at about 1:40 p.m. regarding an unrelated incident. She allegedly provided deputies with a false name, but her identity was eventually revealed. A record check revealed the warrants and Nelson was taken into custody without incident.
On June 8, Kingman Police arrested Daniel Lee Cleveland, 41, a transient on a felony probation violation warrant issued by the Colorado Department of Corrections. Police responded to a disturbance at a home in the 500 block of Windsor Avenue and contacted Cleveland, who reportedly provided officers with a false name. Officers eventually determined his identity and a record check revealed the warrant. He was taken into custody without incident.
On June 8, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Marsha Shannon Findley, 40, of Golden Valley for felony possession of stolen property. Deputies attempted to pull over a white Dodge pickup on Klagetoh Road at about 1:50 a.m., but the driver failed to stop. Deputies followed onto Mazatzal Road where the truck was stopped in the middle of the road. The driver's side door was closed and the passenger side was open, but nobody was around.
Deputies searched the hilly, cactus-thick area and eventually found Findley about 100 feet from the vehicle. A computer check revealed the truck was reported stolen from a car dealership.
