Chills for Charity
7/7/2014 6:00:00 AM
Stacy Wright, manager of Harrison Haven Senior Living, gets the big chill treatment Saturday from Judi Salvey in an "Ice Water Challenge" dedicated to breast cancer awareness Saturday after being nominated by his friend Michael Rankin. Wright said it is a Facebook and Youtube challenge sent from friend to friend. One nominates the other, and the nominee can either pay $100 to a charity of their choice or pay $10 and allow people to dump ice water on them. He chose the latter, donated to a breast cancer charity and nominated several friends to continue the challenge. About a dozen people showed Saturday at Harrison Haven to take their turn throwing the cold water on Wright for a "Dump on the Manager" event. Smith's and Gas Plus donated the ice. Wright will post the video on his Facebook account, which is under his name.
