Organizations: Kingman Powerhouse Kiwanis Club

The Kingman Powerhouse Kiwanis Club granted $1,000 to the 12th Annual Mission Bank School Supply Drive to help children in the community buy needed school uniforms. The Kingman Powerhouse Kiwanis Club has contributed over $30,000 this past year to community causes. The Club heads the "Code 3 Clothe the Kids" event prior to Christmas each year to purchase much-needed clothing to underprivileged children. In 2013, 430 children were clothed through this program. Monies to fund this program come from the generous area businesses and individuals and through monies raised from the Code 3 Golf Tournament held each year at the Cerbat Golf Course. The next tournament is Aug. 23. Mission Bank's 12th annual school supply drive, known as "Our Town Cares," is collecting donations of school supplies and monetary donations until mid-August for underprivileged school age children in our community. All requests for needed school supplies and T-shirts should be made through a child's teacher or school principal. For more information, contact Mission Bank public relations director Debbie Catt at (928) 718-5555.
