KINGMAN - A Kingman man told Mohave County Sheriff's deputies that he beat his roommate Thursday morning because the man allegedly offered his son drugs.
Daniel Dee Lambert, 42, told deputies he confronted his roommate when the man walked inside the home they shared in the 2200 block of Leroy Avenue, sometime before 10:15 a.m., when the alleged victim's girlfriend called 911.
The alleged victim, 47, was beaten rather severely, according to
Mohave County Sheriff's Office
spokeswoman Trish Carter.
Deputies noted his face was damaged and bleeding, and one of his cheeks and eyes were swollen.
The man was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center, where doctors determined he sustained a concussion, several fractures to his nose and lacerations on his face.
The man reportedly told deputies he returned to the home to retrieve his belongings, but had no memory of the beating. The man's girlfriend told deputies Lambert attacked the man as soon as he opened the front door.
Lambert initially refused to come out of the home and deputies surrounded the residence before he eventually surrendered.
Lambert's son allegedly confirmed for deputies that his father's roommate tried to give him drugs. The son's age was not provided.
Lambert faces a felony charge of aggravated assault-serious physical injury per domestic violence. He was taken into custody without incident.
