Shots threatened by Golden Valley man, leading to arrest

GOLDEN VALLEY - A Golden Valley man was arrested Tuesday evening about eight hours after he allegedly threatened to shoot a woman.
Patrick Wayne Manges, 47, was taken into custody at a home in the 4200 block of Mazatzal Drive at about 7:30 p.m. when deputies were advised he had returned to the residence and was threatening to commit suicide.
Earlier that day, the 25-year-old woman told deputies she demanded Manges leave the residence and he refused. As some point, he allegedly grabbed her by the neck and held a gun to her face and said he was going to shoot her.
Manges did not possess the weapon when he was arrested, but deputies found several .38-caliber rounds in his pocket he said he was trying to sell.
Deputies also found a plastic bag with a white crystal substance that Manges allegedly admitted was methamphetamine, along with a glass pipe.
Deputies said he also admitted he became upset when the woman asked him to leave her home.
A record check revealed a misdemeanor warrant for interfering with judicial proceedings that was issued by Kingman Justice Court and he was taken into custody without incident.
Manges faces felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
