KINGMAN - Arizona Rep. Doris Goodale, R-Kingman, is currently listed in critical condition and is being treated for a blood clot in her neck at Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas.

However, the prognosis is good, according to family friend Margaret Nyberg.

"Things are looking really good," Nyberg said. "She's been responding to her name and giving people a thumbs up."

Doctors are currently trying to determine if they will use surgery or medication to remove the clot, Nyberg said.

Nearly a year ago, Goodale's husband, Bill, passed away after a blood vessel ruptured in his brain.
