Man gets away after Kingman coffee stand robbery

Erin Taylor
Miner Staff Reporter

Police are searching for a man who implied he had a gun when he robbed a coffee stand inside a grocery store Wednesday night.

The incident occurred around 6 p.m. at the Safeway store in the 3900 block of Stockton Hill Road. Police said a white or Hispanic male in his early to mid 20's gave the cashier a hand written note demanding $200, then placed his hand in his pocket of the sweatshirt to imply he had a gun.

The cashier gave the man the money and waited for him to leave the store before alerting the manager, who called the police. The suspect got away with approximately $200 in cash.

The man was reportedly wearing a blue/white beanie, dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt with "FCUK" in white letters on the front.

Anyone with information should call the Kingman Police Department at (928) 753-2191 or Silent Witness at (928) 753-1234.

These are hard times, this guy probably needed money to feed his family.....because he's broke due to buying clothing with IDIOTIC, CHILDISH word variations on them in order to get the attention he craves! Time to grow up!

" A white or hispanic man in his 20's with a dark hoodie, beanie cap, and a stupid statement on the hoodie".

That just about covers 99.9% of the people I see in their 20's daily.

I like DD's comment....downside is the stupid kid trying to act street wise, acting like he had a real gun and ending up shot 30 times. By 11 different armed citizens flexing their rights. Possibly with a few friendly fire wounds to folks in the way. Dont get me wrong Im a gun guy. Sometimes tho, its best to keep it in the holster.

In this case I admire the clerk for keeping a cool head and lettng the possibly armed idiot get out of the store.

He probably needed the $200,00 to buy a cup of coffee at Starbuck's.
