Please, please, please - everyone get the word out: Abusers do not change. It only gets worse. It starts small but always escalates and sadly, sometimes ends in death for a beautiful, innocent woman. If you know someone in a domestic violence situation, help them to leave. Let them know not to tell the abuser they are leaving or where they are going. This is the most dangerous time. There are domestic violence shelters all over the country now. My heart goes out to the Christensen family for your great loss.

More women die at the hands of a "loved one" than from any other. We have all heard the comments, "what did SHE do to piss him off", "she knew he had a bad temper". We also hear the same BS when a women is beaten and/or raped. As long as people keep making excuses for violent men, crimes like this will keep happening.
