KINGMAN - A 70-year-old Phoenix woman was arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle heroin into the Arizona State Prison-Kingman on Saturday.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to the prison in Golden Valley at about 10:15 a.m.

A captain at the prison reportedly told deputies that Jennie Diaz Osuna was at the prison to visit her son when she set off the metal detector.

Osuna was searched and prison employees allegedly found a black bundle wrapped in tape that was about eight inches long and an inch wide. A brown powdery substance that reportedly field-tested positive for heroin was inside the package, wrapped in aluminum foil and cellophane.

A second woman, Susan Claire Anderson, 51, of Avondale was also arrested and, like Osuna, was charged with introducing prison contraband, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.

However, Anderson reportedly told deputies that she and Osuna carpool together to visit their sons, who are serving time.

..they are in the paper for this doesnt mean they arent victims too. Everyone seems to know enough about prison to gripe about those who serve time there but they dont consider the fact that the families of these inmates are serving a sentence right along with them. Im not justifying what was done but this is bottom of the barrel info. Maybe people outh to look a bit further and try to find out what really happened before passing such judgement. As it should be with ANY case. I hope these ladies see that they could have made better and different choices.

Not only do share the same planet, you probably share the same road, street, probably shop at the same store(Wal-Mart), and probably have shared the same germs if you use a public restroom! Nice, huh?
