KINGMAN - A fugitive from justice refused to open the door when deputies responded to a domestic violence call at a home in the 3100 block of John L Avenue Saturday night.

Bryon Dudley Mitchell, 33, spoke to deputies through a closed window and would not open the door when they responded at about 8:30 p.m.

The alleged victim, a 32-year-old woman, reportedly told deputies she and Mitchell were arguing when he spat in her face and shattered a beer bottle when he threw it to the ground.

Mitchell reportedly told deputies a fugitive from justice warrant issued out of Greene County, Ark., was based on "trumped up charges."

He was eventually arrested after deputies made entry into the home.

Mitchell faces a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct by domestic violence and the felony fugitive warrant. The charge behind the warrant was not disclosed.

Mitchell was taken into custody without further incident.
