KINGMAN - Mohave County Supervisor Joy Brotherton went to Kingman Regional Medical Center for a serious blood infection, according to her family. Brotherton has been unable to attend recent meetings while receiving treatment.

Brotherton is expected to make a full recovery, according to a statement released by her family.

Brotherton's family also said they are thankful for the community's prayers, and for respecting their privacy during Brotherton's recovery.

The statement was submitted to the Mohave County Board of Supervisors and read aloud at the opening of Monday's meeting by Supervisor Hildy Angius.
