Are You Ready for the Fourth? Plenty to do in Kingman.
Last yearís fireworks at the Mohave County Fairgrounds were entertaining. This year the Kingman Boomers, which raises money for the show, gathered almost $25,000 in donations to put on this yearís extravaganza. The show is in the center of town, which makes for great viewing parties for those who donít want to linger in the fairgrounds. Thatís the thinking over at the Kingman Presbyterian Church, 2425 Detroit Ave., which is hosting a social event starting at 7 p.m. and ending with a fireworks watching party. JC AMBERLYN/Miner

The sky will light up with a pyrotechnic extravaganza once the sun fully sets at about 9 p.m.

Also at the fairgrounds from 6 p.m. until the fireworks begin are the Family Festival and Fireworks Show.

• The Staples parking lot, 3320 Stockton Hill Road, will be the scene of a car show and block party sponsored by Route 66 Wings and Wheels.

Good morning,

I was watching the firework show last night from a friends back yard. I heard someone got hurt towards the end. I was concerned and looked for information in the paper and didn't find anything. Can you tell me the status of the folks involved ?

Thank You
Frank Caito

We were at the fairgrounds during the firework display. Something went wrong (we noticed) with the fireworks, and an ambulance soon came. Are they ok?
