One seriously injured in rollover wreck near Kingman

Doug McMurdo
Miner Staff Reporter

Department of Public Safety officers investigated a rollover late Wednesday afternoon near milepost 56 on Highway 93.

Three occupants were in the vehicle as it was headed south. The driver of the truck, which was hauling construction equipment and material, for unknown reasons left the left lane and traveled into the median. The driver overcorrected, crossed both southbound lanes and the vehicle rolled over, stopping a few dozen feet from the highway, scattering tools, material and parts of the truck's trailer.

A female passenger was ejected and was taken to a Las Vegas hospital with critical injuries. The other two passengers were not seriously injured, according to a witness.

OH, YEAH!!! My daughter Serena was thinking about you today, so she checked back to the news article. We are so glad you are coming along, slow but sure! My daughter and I both had battles with cancer, that's how we adopted "If you're going thru hell, just KEEP GOING". We are both done with all that and it's easier looking back. I hope you and your boys have a "VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!"

I am that ejected female. I thank you all for your concerns, prayers & help. Recovery has been rough & on November 8th I underwent surgery to place pins & a plate in my dominate left hand. I believe God was certainly watching over me that day & I'm very thankful to be alive to see my 4 loving young boys again! I thank you all again!

Oh, thank you so much, Alice! My 24 &26 yr. old girls were with me, we had just pulled off the road for our dogs. I'm sorry she has to suffer and has a long recovery. For us, she is a "MIRICLE" because...The 2 men told me she was ejected. She had landed in the "very small" area between the semi & the spilled metal. The ground was muddy and my shoes sunk down, so I knew the ground was pretty wet, I was glad it had some give. I am not taking her injuries lightly.(We) know if you're going thru hell, you have to "KEEP GOING." But from where I stood...there were so many other ways this could have gone. We girls will keep warm thoughts for her in our hearts and hope for a speedy recovery. P.S. She has some beautiful eyes! THANK YOU, AGAIN! we aren't will not ask for anymore information.

She was released from hospital and is recovering. Has serious injury to her left arm among other injuries. Recovery is difficult, but she has family who are there for her.

We witnessed the semi-truck rollover. I did not see any "CONSRUCTION EQUIPMENT". What I saw was a "TON of JUNK" that was ejected from the trailer, and #1 fork lift. My concern is why is this type of load being transported "LOOSELY" in the trailer of a semi? Once the truck moved into the median the load had to shift and over correcting or not it was going to "ROLL." I really hate to think that this is a "COMMON" mode of transport. We are hoping for the best outcome for the injured female. If someone has good news about her, please post it here. S Butler
