KINGMAN - Contrary to recent freezing weather, the sun has not abandoned us. Today should be the last day of an arctic cold snap that brought colder than normal temperatures and chilling winds to Kingman starting last Wednesday.

Today's expected high is 37 degrees, but the 22 mph winds will make it feel about 10 degrees colder. No chance of rain, sleet, snow or hail, according to The Weather Channel website.

The beginning of the end starts Tuesday, with lows not dropping anywhere near the record 13 degrees recorded at 5:51 a.m. Friday.

Daytime temperatures will be a bit warmer with a high of 44 degrees and a low of 24. Winds won't get as high, with the forecast at 12 mph.

Wednesday we'll see temperatures hit 50 degrees with a low of 27 and winds at a tolerable 10 mph.

Thursday is even better with a high of 52 degrees and a low of 28. Best of all, winds aren't expected to blow more than 4 mph.

There is a 10 percent chance of rain on Thursday, which increases to 20 percent on Friday, when the high will be 54 degrees and the low 29. There will be a breeze of about 5 mph.

The weekend will have the best weather, with highs of 55 Saturday and Sunday (average for mid-December), with lows on both days in the mid 30s.
