Fifteen percent of the meal tab at IHOP from 1 to 10 p.m. Jan. 6 will be donated to Virginia G. Piper Cancer Research. IHOP is located at 3600 Stockton Hill Road.
Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary President Vicki Sutton, who is organizing the fundraiser, said patrons must present the flyer with information on the fundraiser to the cashier when paying for the meal in order for the contribution to be made.

The Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center, 1776 Airway Ave., is sponsoring "Senior Angel Tree" this season. This tree is designed to give cheer to senior citizens who will be alone this holiday season.
Tags are on the tree and are ready for pick up. Each tag lists suggested items that the senior would like or need. Please plan to purchase a gift and return it to the center unwrapped by Tuesday. Gifts will be delivered by staff and/or volunteers.
Items such as scarves, hats, slippers and packaged goodies are also suggested.
Center hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The phone number is (928) 757-2778.
Beverly Avenue between Fairfax Street and North 5th Street will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays until March 1 for construction of an underground sewer line and sewer service lines.
That section of Beverly is west of Stockton Hill Road. Detours will be in place during the road closure. Residents will have access to their homes.
Johansen Construction, Inc. is the contractor for the project.
