KINGMAN - Jury selection begins this afternoon in the trial of a man accused of shooting his roommate following a dispute over paying bills.
Mathew Alan Morris, 32, allegedly shot his then-25-year-old roommate in the shoulder with a handgun at the home they shared in the 2800 block of Melody Street on Sept. 23, 2012.
Kingman police officers arrested Morris as he walked down the street shortly after the shooting. The roommate was treated at Kingman Regional Medical Center.
Morris pleaded not guilty and will be tried in Judge Derek Carlisle's courtroom on charges of aggravated assault with use of a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct with a weapon.
