for fairground manager
Suzanne Adams-Ockrassa Miner Staff Reporter
The resumes are in, the deadline has passed and the Mohave County Fair Association's Board of Directors is looking over all of the applications it received for the position of county fairgrounds manager.
The former fairgrounds manager, Errol Pherigo, resigned in August after working for the association for 30 years. Association member James Guillot has been filling in since Pherigo left. Applications for the position were due on Jan. 10.
Association spokeswoman Toni Swatz said the association received 11 applications after advertising the position locally, statewide and across the western region through job boards, the Western Fairs Association and the Arizona Fairs Association. Three of the applications are from people who don't live in Mohave County, she said.
She couldn't give any additional details about the applications due to confidentiality. She also couldn't say when the board of directors would make its decision.

I commend the people working to improve the Fairgrounds. The grounds have never been maintained as nice as they are now I want to thank all those involved in the ground maintenance as I'm sure if we continue it will be a fairground that the community (City and County) will be very proud of. Once again a BIG THANK YOU to all involved.
