MOHAVE VALLEY - A man struck a bookstore employee over the head with a hookah pipe and forced her to remove most of her clothing before she was able to run away when a customer interrupted the crime Wednesday morning in Mohave Valley.

The woman ran to a business next door for help. She sustained a laceration to her head and was treated and released at Valley View Medical Center.

The suspect fled the bookstore in the 10100 block of Harbor Avenue with an undisclosed amount of cash. He is described as a Hispanic male, possibly in his 20s, curly, medium-length black hair, 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds with a slim build.

He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black hoodie with gray sleeves, black pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Mohave County Sheriff's Office at (928) 753-0753 or Silent Witness at (928) 753-1234.
