Meadview man arrested in motorcyclist's death

KINGMAN - A Meadview man has been arrested in connection with the death of a motorcyclist. Mohave County Sheriff's detectives arrested Robert Felix Golden, Jr., 43, Tuesday afternoon for felony leaving the scene of a fatal collision.

According to the Sheriff's Office, at 9 a.m. March 12, Jerry Allen Jennings, 53, and his wife, Joana, were traveling southbound on a motorcycle along Stockton Hill Road north of Kingman when, according to a witness to the accident, Golden allegedly struck the couple with his white pick-up truck, causing the Jennings to go off the road into a ditch and crash into an embankment. Golden then allegedly left the scene.

MCSO Public Information Specialist Trish Carter said that deputies believe Golden and the couple knew each other and may have exchanged words and gestures on the road. The accident is still under investigation, but it may have been intentional, she said.

The Jennings were transported by ambulance to Kingman Regional Medical Center, where Jerry Jennings was pronounced dead. According to the Sheriff's Office, Joana suffered severe abrasions and was released March 13.

Detectives contacted Golden near Sandy Point in Meadview Tuesday afternoon and took him into custody. He was transported and booked into the county jail.

How are you gonna accuse this guy of murder when you dont know exactly what happen. Yeah he shouldnt have left the scene, but it could have been jerry's fault and robert would have been doing time no matter what so leaving might have been his only shot of freedom even though he might of been innocent!!

@ VOCK CANYON

WHILE YOU MIGHT BE RIGHT ON THE ILLEGAL PASSING, I'M NOT SURE YOU'RE RIGHT REGARDING WHO IS DOING THE PASSING. I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU WOULD KNOW WHERE THESE FOLKS ARE COMING FROM UNLESS YOU KNOW THEM ALL. STOCKTON HILL IS USED BY DOLAN, LAS VAGAS, LOST TOURIST AND PEOPLE FROM VOCK CANYON. THERE'S AN OLD TIMER IN OUR MIST AND I'M NOT SURE HE'S FROM MEADEVIEW(MEADVIEW)

I'll repeat this again, many of the so called fatal accidents on Stockton hill rd are not driver error related. I have been forced off the road 3 times by people passing illegally. They just can't seem to take their foot off the gas. What I find strange is that they seem to be coming from Meade View. I've always thought of Mead View as a bunch of old timers.....
