KINGMAN - Kingman Police officers on Wednesday arrested the daughter of the owner of the Catch-N-Rayz salon on felony charges of arson of a structure and burglary.
Investigators with the KPD and the Kingman Fire Department believe Tamara D. Douglas, 26, of Kingman set a fire that damaged the business at 2325 Airway Avenue in the early morning hours of June 11.
Deputy Chief Rusty Cooper said officers are looking for a second suspect and that the investigation is not over.
Cooper said investigators believe the fire, which began in a utility room and had spread into the attic before Kingman firefighters arrived to put it out, might have been deliberately set for financial reasons, but he did not elaborate.
Attempts to contact the salon's owner were unsuccessful. The business reopened at the Airway Avenue location in 2011. Catch-N-Rayz has been boarded up since the incident.
