David Joe

David Joe, age 17, a senior at Kingman High School, was recently selected as a Student Rotarian by the Kingman Rotary Club. He is the son of Minja and Sungnam Joe of Kingman.

David feels very honored to be selected as a Student Rotarian. For his presentation to the Rotary Club, he chose to discuss his passion for music and its use in expression and connection.

David is active in the marching band (head drum major), jazz band, varsity soccer (co-captain) and National Honor Society (vice president). He is a National Merit Semi-Finalist, does volunteer work at Kingman Regional Medical Center and at his church, made the All-State Jazz Clinic Band and the All-State Honor Band.

David plans to major in music production and engineering, but is undecided about which college he will attend. He would like to pursue a career in audio engineering.

Congratulations! At the ripe old age of 17, you have more impressive credentials than any person I know, which is a wonderful testament to your parents. You are talented and wise far beyond your years. Again, Congratulations. I wish you every success in all that you do. You deserve it.

Congratulations to David Joe. I know him from when I worked at the library. He is a great person, works hard, and is deserving of this achievement.
