Military: Sgt. Kevin Davies
Sgt. Kevin Davies
Sgt. Kevin Davies

Kevin Davies, son of Lee and Armi Davies, was recently promoted to the rank of sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. Davies earned his promotion during his third year of enlistment in a highly competitive infantry military occupational specialty, a feat rarely achieved by a first enlistment infantry Marine. Davies continuously sets the standard for others to emulate by maintaining high proficiency and conduct marks, first class physical fitness tests, combat fitness tests, shooting high expert on the rifle range, achieving his black belt in Marine Corps martial arts, being awarded Company Honor grad during Advanced Infantry Training, and earning multiple meritorious promotions in all ranks leading up to sergeant. Davies was more recently accepted to Arizona State University and will further his education following his separation in June.

Friends, Family, new Acquaintances,

Thank you for all of your support over the years. I've always lived by a few rules. 1. Surround yourself with people who drag you up not down 2. It's not worth doing if you don't do it with passion and 3. Learn from everything. Everyone around me has helped me in some way and someday I hope to continually make you proud. You all have taught me so much. Don't see me retiring as a bad thing because one day these cammies will be replaced by a set or scrubs and eventually a suit. Hopefully I can give back and help the world that has helped me. Mom, Dad, I know I was a pain in the butt ) but I'll make it worth your while. I love you all!

-Sgt. Kevin Davies (USMC)

The first time we met and talked with Kevin was when he was only nine years old. I noticed that he is very smart boy. So we are not surprised. We are very happy and so proud of him to learn that he got all those awards and promotions for a short period to time since his enlistment. Maybe someday, the future President of the USA will be this bright young man, raised in Kingman, Arizona. He He He You never know! WE LOVE YOU KEVIN. We will pray for your continued success. Keep up the good work. May God Bless you Always. LOVE FROM "AUNTIES" AURORA & CLEO.

That is one sharp troop.

Too bad the military can't offer incentives for superior warriors, such as he, instead of just to the egghead/tech fields.

And they are looking to screw more military out of their retirement.

We need people like this guy to stay in and train others.
