The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Weidner of Florissant. The bridegroom is the grandson of Robert and Eleanor Kroll of Sun City, Ariz.

During the ceremony, the bridegroom's godmother, Karen Petrumic of Chicago, read from 1 Corinthians 12:31-13:8a. Sue Whittaker, the bride's godmother, of Big Bend, Wis., read from Genesis 1:26-28, 31.

Brain Baker of Florissant was best man. Usher-groomsmen were Marcus Weller of California, Nicholas Bergeron of Detroit, Mich., Thomas Friedoff of Florissant and Rya Diel of Eureaka, Mo. They wore vests with black ties and boutonnieres of paper flowers.

Elizabeth Bailey, formerly of Santa Ana, Calif., now of Dearborn, Mich., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Audrey Jackson of Plymouth, Mich., Kingerly O'Brien of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., and Lindsay McCarthy of Virginia. The bridesmaids wore black knee-length dresses and carried bouquets of teal paper flowers.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her mother and father, and given away by her father. She moved gracefully in her gown fashioned of satin, with a fit and flare cut, relaxed sweetheart neckline with rhinestone embellishments. She carried a bouquet of pink paper flowers.

For her daughter's wedding, Ms. Joan Smykowski wore a knee-length teal dress, accented with paisley lace.

Mrs. Sandy Weidner, the bridegroom's mother, chose a knee-length teal dress at the ceremony, and a floor-length dress for the reception.

Mrs. Joyce Bailey, the bride's grandmother, wore a knee-length peach colored dress, accented with lace sleeves.

The unofficial ring bearers for the ceremony were Joey Grass of Big Bend, Wis., Alexander and Benjamin Ritchey of Ellicott City, Md., and David Whittaker of Iowa City, Iowa. The Ritchey boys were dressed in seersucker suits. Mr. Grass and Whittaker were dressed in faux tuxedo shirts.

The reception was held at the Sheraton Saint Louis. After a delightful cocktail on the hotel's 13th-floor patio overlooking the famed Gateway Arch of Saint Louis, the wedding party moved to the banquet hall. Music was supplied by Ryan Gremminger of M.J. DJ Service. The couple selected decorated donuts instead of a wedding cake.
