Kristin, as your grandmother, I couldn't be any prouder of you than I am. As an American, I am grateful for your service to our country, your dedication and your passionate decision to serve.

As you put it so eloquently in one of your letters to me - "Every morning when I put on my uniform and combat boots and salute the hoisting of the flag, I know that I am exactly where I should be - serving the greatest nation in the world."

We all love you Kristin, and are very proud of you.
