Raenay Wilson, 18 and a senior at Kingman High School, was recently selected as a Student Rotation by the Kingman Rotary Club. Her parents are Juanita LaFrenz and Raymond Wilson.
She said she felt honored to be chosen, since she knew that she was one of many who were up for the honor. She thanked the club for the opportunity.
Raenay's extracurricular activities and honors include: National Honor Society, Key Club president, Rising Star, head baker in Culinary, math and science awards, varsity softball, and third place in the Math Olympics.
She has also been honored at a blood drive ceremony for the second total amount of donations in Northern Arizona, and volunteers, donates bake goods to a nursing home and, with the KHS Key Club, helped with a jacket drive for students.
For her presentation to the club, she discussed how the activities she has participated in changed her life and prepared her for her future. She plans to further her education at the Art Institute, pursuing a bachelor's degree in baking and pastry with a minor in culinary management and business.
Raenay wants to own her own healthy bakery for diabetics and make people fall in love with healthy eating again in honor of her father. She wants to thank her parents for all they have done to get her to where and who she is today.
