Updated Obituary: Eva Lucille Campbell
Eva L. Campbell
Eva L. Campbell

Eva L. Campbell, 74, of Kingman passed away on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012. Eva McGovern was born in Chloride on March 9, 1938. Her family moved to Kingman in her teens. On June 24, 1955, she married C.T. "Pete" Campbell. Pete and Eva had two sons, Pete and Kevin.

Eva attended floral design school and also was an aide at Palo Christi Elementary School. Eva helped her husband run their family business, Campbell Redi-Mix.

She was also very involved with her church, College Park Baptist. Eva loved to travel and visited Germany, Great Britain, Hawaii and many other places.

Eva was well-known for her hard work, faith and sense of humor. She was so much more than this dry little piece of writing would suggest and it is impossible to put into words how hilarious and amazing she truly was.

She is survived by her husband, Pete; her sons, Pete and Kevin; her grandchildren, Dustin (Brandi), Ryan, and Rebecca; and her great-grandchildren, Taylor and Haiden. She will be dearly missed by her seven sisters and brothers, and her multitudes of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, at College Park Baptist Church, 1990 Jagerson Ave., Kingman.

My parents were great friends with Blackie and Helen McGovern, and my sisters Patty, and Libby and I spent alot of time with some of the kids--Eva being one of those I do remember, as well as Denny. It is sad to hear that Eva is now gone--I hope she had a beautiful life (it appears so from the comments). Sending all of her loved ones and family my sympathy--Cherie Parker.

It seems as though the years are only minutes and I am still with you all. I miss the touch but will forever feel the love of my family and hope you feel mine as well. Even here in eastern Oklahoma I met a man who respected and admired Aunt Eva. My heart andprayers go out out to you all.
God Bless.

Eva was such a sweet person. I have known her for years and she and Pete were so good to my mother when she was ill. There will be many who will miss Eva but know she was loved and respected.
