Updated Obituary: William Vellky

On Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, after a short but brave battle with cancer, the Lord mercifully called home a very special angel. William "Bill" John Vellky entered peacefully into rest in the arms of his wife. Bill was born Jan. 2, 1950, in Leetsdale, Pa., but spent most of his adult life in Arizona. Bill loved the desert and the quiet, slower lifestyle that Kingman offered.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Anna "Kost" Vellky, and his younger brother, Nicholas Vellky, both of Pennsylvania.

Bill is survived by his wife, Patricia; stepchildren, Anthony (Carlie) of Lindsay, Ontario, Canada, Rebecca (Rick) of Petawawa, Ontario, and Chris (Pam) of Omemee, Ontario; and his four favorite people, his grandchildren, Aaron, Kaydince, Alex and Colby. Bill is also survived by his sister, Pat (Harry) Mitchell of South Dakota; his brother, Mathew (Carol) of Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews. Bill touched many lives and had many friends from all walks of life who will miss him dearly.

As Bill wished, there will be no services and donations may be made in his name to the Kingman Cancer Center, P.O. Box 3014, Kingman, AZ 86402-3014.

"Rest in peace, Billy." You were loved deeply and will be forever missed.
