Carl Wayne Cowin Sr.
Carl Wayne Cowin Sr.

Carl Wayne Cowin Sr. passed Tuesday, Dec. 25, in Kingman at the age of 69.

"Wayne" was born in Durant, Okla., on May 17, 1943, to Joseph and Dessie Cowin.

He later married Carmen Cobos on Nov. 13, 1961, in Santa Barbara, Calif.

They moved to Kingman from Ventura, Calif., in 1964.

Wayne was a miner for 45 years, then finally retired in 2010. He spent those 45 years as a mechanic in mill maintenance with a specialty in pump maintenance.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and is survived by his wife, Carmen; his two brothers, Richard (Janice) and Donald (Sandy); his three sons, Carl (Cindy), Danny (Pam) and Timmy (Maria). Wayne/"Grandpa" is also survived by his grandchildren, including: Brandon (Morgan), Justin (Jessica), Tyshanna, Brianna, Arron (Jonnie), Tiffani, Dominic (Christina), Savannah (Ignacio) and Brittany; and also many great-grandchildren: Bradly, Riley, Tyler, Taylor, Caitlyn, A.J., Julyissa, Annalyssa, Brooklyn and Khloe; and many nieces and nephews.

He loved spending time with all his wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed doing his projects around the house and gardening.

We love you, Grandpa. You will be missed!

No services will be held.
