Corbin Patterson

Corbin Anthony Patterson, 26, of Kingman and formerly Pittsfield, Ill., died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at his residence. He was born Nov. 18, 1986, in Jacksonville, Ill., the son of Dwayne and Rhonda Dehart Patterson.

He is survived by his parents, Dwayne (Rashiel Salem) Patterson of Kingman and Rhonda (Dave Johnson) Patterson of Eugene, Mo.; six brothers, Justin and Andrew Patterson, Trey and Trent Salem and Joseph and Samuel Johnson; one sister, Tori Salem; maternal grandparents, Robert and Karen Dehart of Pittsfield; maternal great-grandmother, Mildred Cawthon of Pittsfield; two nieces, Baylie and McKenna Patterson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Ella Mae Patterson; paternal great-grandparents, Rollie and Lou Ella Manning; maternal great-grandfather, Harold Cawthon; and one uncle, Doug Patterson.

Mr. Patterson was raised in Pike County and attended Pittsfield High School before graduating from Kingman High School in 2005. He was employed at Praxair Inc. in Kingman as a mechanical integrity specialist since 2006. Corbin was an avid sportsman and enjoyed riding his ATV. He was a compassionate and valiant young man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His smile will be missed by many.

Services will be held at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, corner of Eastern and Southern.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to our local Boys and Girls Club.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Pittsfield with burial at Bethel Cemetery, south of Griggsville, Ill.

Family will meet friends at the funeral home Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Mounted Angels, c/o Airsman-Hires Funeral Home, P.O. Box 513, Pittsfield, IL 62363.

Corbin, it is really hard to believe that you are actually gone buddy. You should see how many people show up at your service last night. I know things is going to be different without you. I wish that you know how much Ryan miss you. The news really hit Ryan harder than you ever imagine. We all will miss you Corbin but you will never be forgotten. See you on another side when the time is right.

Corbin was a great guy, very intellegent and kind, and quiet, you always wondered what he was thinking. Working with him was a pleasure and the praxair family loved and appreciated him very much. He was a very respected man, and will be missed by all.
