Obituary: Kristy West

Kristy Kay West passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 18, 2013. She was born in Phoenix, Ariz., July 22, 1955, but spent most of her life in Kingman, which she loved.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Avis West; father, Keith A. West; and brother, Keith West Jr. She is survived by her sister, Leigh Harron of San Diego; brother, Mark West of Prescott; and her loving caregiver, Summer McElwee; and many friends.

A celebration of Kristy's life will be held at noon, Saturday, March 23, at Charles Metcalfe Park, 315 W. Beale at Grandview. All who knew and loved Kristy are encouraged to attend.

Mark West and family,my deepest condolences for you and your family.I did not know Kristy personally but I did know Mark.I must say that the West family is one in a billion......very great people.If it wasn't for Mark I would not be writing this right now. I miss you very much my friend! My thoughts and prayers are with the greatest family I have ever gotten to know.

I remember Kristy vividly...always smiling, and they way she wrinkled up her nose, just like in the picture, you could tell it was genuine heartfelt smiling. She was always an angel, and now is with the Lord still smiling down on all of us...RIP angel :D

I will never forget the first time I met Kristy. She wanted to comb my hair. She was such a sweetheart and I will always have fond memories of her.

I got to know Kristy a few years ago. Her love and energy was boundless. I always enjoyed spending time with her and getting to know her. She had such a caring heart and will be sorely missed. I will miss her sharp wit and amazing memory. I cherish the time that we spent together. Thank you kristy, words cannot express how grateful I am for your friendship.

Goodby Kristy,It was a privlage to know you.When we were young we attended high school together.And years later I was lucky enough to be a care giver of yours.There was so much I learned from you.A little something most people did not know about Kristy.She had a ability to remember dates.If she was told your birthday or anniversery once,she never forgot it.If she saw you once every five years she remembered your birthday.Again,Goodby Kristy

I was so sorry to hear about Kristy. She was such a dear sweet person. It has been many years since I have seen Kristy but her memory for birthdates I will never forget. She was a love. My prayers are with you and your families.
