Montana Mitchell Havens

Montana Mitchell Havens passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, March 22, 2013. He was born a Christmas gift to Billy Joe Havens and Pamela (Maddux) Havens on Dec. 24, 1990, in Page, Ariz. He grew up in many difference cities in Arizona, including Page, Tucson, Kingman and the Grand Canyon.

Montana was a very talented and creative guy. He was always drawing and recently started signing his work under the name "Bishop." He was great at many sports but specifically loved to play soccer. He also loved to play video games with his friends and brothers. He enjoyed traveling and all types of scenery, especially Mt. Lemon in Tucson. Montana was a talented guitar player and singer, singing in the church choir and the Mohave Community Choir. He had an amazing sense of humor and could get anyone to smile, which was convenient because he always had a camera in his hand to capture the moment. Montana, also known as "Uncle T," was a family man and spent most of his time being the best uncle in the world to his nieces. Montana was a handsome warrior who battled and conquered non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma twice in his short but beautiful life. He loved life and found beauty in everything and everyone. He felt honored to serve the Lord by becoming an Elder and attending and participating in services at the LDS Temple in Las Vegas. March 29, 2013, would mark his second birthday after receiving his bone marrow transplant in 2011.

Montana will now be taking care of his nephew, Cooper B. Havens, who passed away in August of 2004. He leaves behind his best friend and mother, Pamela (Maddux) Wilson; father, Billy Havens; stepfather, Michael Wilson; brothers, Jamison Rubio and Bailey Havens; stepbrothers, Joshua, Justin and Jason Wilson; sisters-in-law, Darci Rubio and Tobra Havens; nieces, Anella and Kennedi Rubio, Kayden, Keyenna, Nevaeh and Jami-Rose Havens; and nephews, Maddux Gurlach and Aiden Wilson. Services will be held Friday, March 29, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3180 Rutherford St., Kingman. Viewing will begin at 1 p.m. and funeral services will begin at 2. Anyone who knew him is welcome to attend.

I was so sad to hear of Montana's passing. I was working and unable to attend his services.

Montana always had a smile and wave for me at choir. He was a great encouragement to many around him.

May peace and joy return to your hearts in the form of sweet memories of your beloved Montana.

I used to play with Montana when we were young, he used to live down the street from me. I had always wondered what happened to him, and this is not what I was hoping to find out. Rest in peace man! Thanks for the great childhood memories.

Dear Pam and family,
We are so sad that your beloved son has gone to sleep. May his spirit rest in Yeshua. We pray to the Father in Yeshua's name that you are comforted in this trial and that you lean on The Lord. It was a pleasure to sing in the community choir with you both.
