Obituary: Michael Stutler

Michael D. Stutler, 62, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 6, 2012, at Mayo Clinic and Hospital in Scottsdale. He was born Sept. 6, 1950, in Fullerton, Calif., to Dwayne and June Stutler of Brea, Calif. He was preceded in death by both his Dad, Mom, and daughter Rachel.

You are invited to join us for a celebration of his life at 3 p.m., Thursday, May 23, at Kingman First Assembly of God, 1859 Gates Ave., Kingman (just off Stockton Hill Road).

He is survived by his wife, Marcia; their son, Jeremy (Jessica) and their four children, Devan, Madison, Sydney and Kole; by their son, Jacob (Summer) and their children, Grace and Preston; by their son, Jonathan (Liz) and their children, Lilly and Kate; by their adopted sons, Jared and Jake Micah Rundell; and by his siblings, Frank, Lucinda, Donna and their families.

Mike grew up in Orange County, Calif., graduated from Brea-Olinda High in 1968, married Marcia Morrison in 1972 and moved to Arizona in 1975. They owned MGM Drywall in Lake Havasu until going into partnership with Dave Phillips and forming Phillips and Stutler Custom Homes and Commercial Building in the early '80s. They were an active part of the community and their church community for 25 years, moving to Bullhead City in 2000. There they established Visions and Dreams Sleep Shop, and joined forces with Amazing Grace Fellowship for seven years. They've spent the past seven years in Kingman at their ranch. Mike worked at Martin Swanty Hyundai, along with son Jacob; Marcia worked for their son Jonathan at Stutler Cabinets.

They became members of Kingman First Assembly of God, where they were actively involved in ministry. Mike loved horses, fishing, hunting and working around his ranch, his dream since high school where he took second place in California State Future Farmers of America. He was an awesome dad, husband, grandpa, brother and uncle. He was a wonderful friend to so many. He will be missed terribly. His greatest desire is that all who knew him will join him in heaven one day through Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior.

Mike was a great guy who loved the Lord and had a great sense of humor. I have nothing but fond memories of him, both growing up as neighbors and knowing him as an adult.

Marcia, and family,
You may or may not recall who I am, But back in the early days of Lake Havasu City, I was the guy who owned and operated J.J.s Donuts, on McCulloch. Mike and Dave would spend hours working, talking, and just hanging out at the old establishment. I ran into Mike again when I was selling automobiles here in Kingman. I am so sorry for loss. Mike was just one of those "good guys" that when you met him, you wouldn't forget. Hope I can make it this afternoon. If not, again I am so sorry to know of Mike's passing.
Michael Keany,

Jeremy,

I am so sorry for the loss of your Father

We know he is in a better place but losing a parent is never easy. He sounds like a wonderful man and I know he raised a wonderful son. I'm so glad he got his ranch, something I have dreamed about for forty years so I understand.

My deepest sympathy to all your family. You will be in my prayers.
