Obituary: Vanessa Kogianes
Vanessa Kogianes
Vanessa Kogianes

Vanessa Kogianes was born Sept. 10, 1984, in Kingman. She lived her entire active life in Kingman, from graduating from Kingman High School in 2003 to becoming the mother of three beautiful children.

Ness had an amazing presence and unique personality that will never be forgotten. She had a love that she passed along through her children and will be felt by all who encounter them. Her strength and charisma will live through her children, family, and friends. Ness's big heart and lust for life were contagious; everyone who knew her will be left with an emptiness that will never be replaced. We will not say goodbye because we know you will always be with us.

Vanessa is survived by her children, Joey Norbert and Dylan Norbert; Joey and Dylan's father, Joseph Norbert; Emma Ellsworth; Emma's father, Brandon Ellsworth; her siblings, Shelby Sinclair (Dyan), Socrates Kogianes (Erica) and Sophia Bailey Kogianes; her father, Michael Kogianes; grandfather, Richard Rosen; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Vanessa was preceded in death by her mother, Debra Kogianes; grandmother, Ruth Rosen; and aunt, Darlene Rosen.

The celebration of her life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at St. John's Methodist Church, 1730 Kino Ave. with a reception to follow at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, an account is set up through Mohave State Bank for Vanessa's children, No. 0244120056.

my friend steve sullivan passed away a few months ago. he was ejected out of his truck for not wearing a seat belt, on impacted he died, my other friend died last sunday for drinking to much, it is like good and evil, but what everyone should think about is we all have trouble so can handle it better than others but instead of everyone hurting each odther why not just trying to love one another, just remember the good but we our selfs are imperfect.... it seem everyone remembers the bad.... I know that when i go people and say or do what ever they want about me why cause i wont be able to hear them or see them and I will just be resting, ... live is so amazing that people sometimes for get one little thing its not easy but it is the best time of our lives the people we meet and things we touch see the things we think act or do... its only one time we see the great wonders of the world.... rest in peace........

@old friend
There was a small article in the miner. Which (approriately) gave a very generic statement of what happened. I just didn't care for the comments made previously that assumed she had been drinking and driving. Vanessa lost her life and family and friends lost a wonderful person. I guess I just felt the focus should be on positive memories for her children and not details of what people think could have happened! What ever the circumstances surrounding the accident, the outcome is remains the same and her family deserves the positive memories!!!

The police report states she lost control of the car. And is still under investigation. I believe she wasn't wearing her seatbelt and that sadly could of saved her life. PLEASE ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEATBELT!!!

What a terrible loss for family and friends
@don't assume
There has been no report in the Miner on what happened which is strange because they always report accidents involving fatalities.

We should all pray for this young lady and her family that their pain will ease.

@dont drink and drive

I'm sorry but where in the article did it say she was drinking and driving?? It is quite possible she was tired or tried to miss an animal in the road. Don't automatically jump to the conclusion that she was drinking and driving just because she was young. My family has known her family for years. Your assumptions are hurtful to those who are mourning the loss of a great woman, mother, sister and friend. My prayers go out to the family and Vanessa's babies!!!!
