Henry Stapleton
Henry Stapleton

Henry Sheridan Stapleton, beloved husband, father and friend, passed away to his next journey to be in the arms of his savior.

He was born to Frank and Bonnie Stapleton on Feb. 8, 1938, in Ironton, Ohio. He leaves behind his loving wife, Rachel; his blessed children, John, Stacey Stapleton-Day, Jennifer, Joshua and Daniel; his 10 precious grandchildren; one great-grandson and one on the way; his sisters, Joyce Webb and Mary Jo McSorley; brothers, Jim Stapleton, Ben Jo Brown and Tony Brown; numerous remembered and loving nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews; and his first wife, Sharlene. He leaves behind many dear friends and co-workers that were such a part of his happiness here on earth.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jean Stapleton-Stevens. He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1964. He was a supervisor at Duval Corporation/Penzoil/Battle Mnt. Gold from 1964-1985 and was director of facilities and transportation for Kingman Unified Schools from 1985-2003.

With his wife, Rachel, HRS Garage Doors LLC opened in 1999 and is still serving the community with the respect and integrity he always stood for.

Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at Kingman First Assembly of God Church, 1850 Gates Ave. Although Henry was Catholic, he will have a great sendoff with Pastor Dan, one of Pastor's first bosses. Please join us in this Grand Celebration.

I worked with Henry at Duval when we were both young and the road to life laid before us. I deeply saddened by his passing. Thank you for being a friend...

Henry was a very nice and a good man to his family, enjoyed the out doors here on the hualapi reservation when time permitted. Our hearts go out to the Stapelton family with deepest regrets. Safe journey-Henry.
