I'm really sad to here that Mrs.Dodson is gone. She was my 5th grade teacher at LaSenita in 1972-73. She had a lot of patience and was one of the few good teachers that I can remember. I'm sorry for you're loss Shirley and wish you,Leonard and your family the best.

I had Mrs. Dodson when I was a 5th grader at Cerbat Elementary 17 years ago. She is the first teacher I remember truly inspiring me, and I am grateful to have had her as a teacher. She was amazing at what she did and it's heartbreaking to think of all the students who will never experience that. She will be greatly, greatly missed. Rest in peace Mrs. Dodson.

I am so sorry to hear about Carolyn's passing. It was a pleasure to know Carolyn and work with her. She was such a classy lady! Everything she did was "top drawer." Carolyn was a teacher of teachers. She was always willing to share her knowledge, expertise and passion with others. You always felt welcomed in her classroom, no matter if you were a student, parent, or administrator. The world has lost a wonderful lady. My sincere condolences to her family. Your mom was a very special lady.

So sad to hear of Carolyn's passing- she was an amazing kind- hearted person. She was my mentor teacher when I completed my student teaching in 1991. I was able to use many of her classroom techniques for many years as they were very effective. She touched many lives and will be missed.

This news is absolutly heartbreaking. Mrs. Dodson played the most influential role in my education and I was grateful to her the day I walked across the stage and recieved my college degree! To her family, please know what an impact she had on every single student she had the oppurtunity to teach. I for one am a better person for knowing her.
