Obituary: John Runner
John Runner
John Runner

In loving memory of John Runner, who was born Aug. 12, 1976, in Provo, Utah. He was the sweetest, funniest, goofiest, most caring person you could ever meet. He was called home to the Lord on Monday, July 8, 2013, and is now free and at peace.

His parents were Nancy Carter Bush and John Franklin Bush; he was later adopted by Richard Runner, who loved and cared for him like his own.

At age 8, John was diagnosed with a rare cancer (malignant histiocytosis). After surviving his six-year battle with cancer, he moved to Kingman, where he lived most of his life and graduated from Kingman High School in 1994.

John worked as a driller/blaster and in other various forms of construction. He was very dedicated to his work and extremely hard working.

John had a great passion for music and enjoyed sharing his talents with others. He also loved weight training, drawing and being with his family. John had such a kind and loving heart; he was a fighter and enjoyed his life to the fullest.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Runner. He is survived by his father, Richard Runner; his wife, Trina Runner; his four brothers, Tyler Runner, Daniel Runner, Robert Runner and Wesley Runner; his three sisters, Jennifer Runner (Sherman), Tammy Runner (Boring), and Tracy Runner; along with many nieces and nephews. John will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live in our hearts forever.

Services will be held Saturday, July 13, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 610 Eastern Ave.

The viewing will be from 8 to 9 a.m., the services from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by interment at Mountain View Cemetery, 1301 Stockton Hill Road.

In lieu of flowers, a donation account has been opened at Wells Fargo Bank. Proceeds will be primarily for funeral expenses and a donation to the American Heart Association in honor of John.

My condolences go out to all the family members and friends. I met John at Laidlaw where we were working. John and I hung out together and went to Laughlin and had a great time. He was a very good person with a very good heart. John was also very humorous and funny. I moved away from Kingman and when I came back I found out that he had passed away. John is in a good place right now and is at peace. May God guide his family through theses hard times.
