Cowboys take home $23K in prize money at rodeo

Cowboys and cowgirls felt a little richer after the conclusion for the 28th Annual Andy Devine Rodeo this past weekend at the Mohave County Fairgrounds. The rodeo made a total payout of $23,189.75 to contestants in six different events.

Below is a list of winners along with their payouts.

Saddle Bronc Riding:

1. Alex Wright, Milford, Utah, Do Fog Light, 81, $752.40; 2. Brady Nichols, Hoytsville, Utah, No.5 Ghost Light, 77, $564.30; 3. Chase Bennett, Sanaquin, Utah,374 Alcapone, 73, $376.20; 4. Shelby Terry, Bear River, Utah, R18 Mater, 67, $188.10.

Bull Riding

1. Scottie Knapp, Albuquerque, N.M., 20 Apache, 85, $1055.45; 2. Samual Groove, Lagrande, Ore., 70 Boudroux, 73, $863.55. No other qualifed rides.

Team Roping

1. Spencer Mitchell, Ell Colusa, Calif., and Dakota Kirchenschlager, Stephenville, Texas, 5.0, $1163.99 each; 2. Turtle Powell, Stephenville, Texas, and Dugan Kelly, Paso Robles, Calif., 5.4 $963.30 each; 3. B.J. Campbell, Aguila, and Cory Petska, Marana, 6.0 $762.61 each. 4. Trampus Quarnberg, Annabella, Utah, and K.C. Curtis, Monroe, Utah, 7.4 $561.93 each; 5. Travis Bard, Chino Valley, and Tom Bill Johnson, Kirkland, 7.8, $361.24 each; 6.
