KINGMAN - The Kingman High boys swim team closed out the regular season Tuesday with a 96-52 win over Bullhead City Mohave.

KHS had 11 first place finishes, including the 200-meter medley relay team of Patrick Webb, David Yingling, Austin Bracken and Paul Yingling, who won with a time of 1:55. The 400-meter relay team of Bracken, Webb, David and Paul Yingling also placed first with a time of 3:47.

"We had a great meet," said KHS coach Maggie Alexander. "It has been a great year and I have had an amazing and hard working team."

The 200-meter relay team of Max Rose, Goe Scheng, Dalton Fichter and Brenin Peterson also placed first with a time of 2:03.

Other first place winners for the boys team include: Webb, 200-meter individual medley, (2:14) and 500-meter freestyle, (5:18); Paul Yingling, 50-meter freestyle, (24.06) and 100-meter backstroke (1:05); David Yingling, 100-meter butterfly, (1:10); Bracken, 100-meter freestyle, (58.16) and 200-meter freestyle (2:08); and Rose, 100-meter breaststroke, (1:20).

Bryce Jones led the KHS girls team with two first-place finishes in the 200-meter individual medley and 50-meter freestyle as the Lady Bulldogs fell 109-53 to Mohave.

Jones had a time of 2:44 in the IM and 34 seconds in the freestyle. Torrey Gorra placed first in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:07.

KHS will travel to the Northwest Regional Swim meet in Surprise this weekend before heading to the state meet next weekend.

"They are preparing for regionals as we taper off the season," Alexander said.

"They are really working on their technique in order to drop to the times they need for regionals this weekend."
