KINGMAN - Kingman High graduate Trey Gilleo has been selected to play in the Casino del Sol College All Star game today in Tucson.

The game will be live streamed on ESPN3 beginning at 7 p.m. and will be played at Kino Stadium, home of the Triple-A Tucson Padres and former spring training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago White Sox.

Gilleo, a starting offensive linemen for Northern Arizona University, will be one of 100 players divided among two teams, East and West. They will play in front of an estimated 70 professional scouts from the National Football League, Canadian Football League and the Arena Football League.

"This opportunity means a lot to me," Gilleo said in a press release from NAU athletics. "It is great to play with a bunch of my peers that have also had great seasons this year. I am appreciative that they selected me as one of their candidates. Hopefully, I can go down there and represent NAU well."

Gilleo will play on the West team, which will consist of players from the Pac-12 and the Mountain West and Western Athletic conferences.

The East roster is made up of players from the Southeast Conference, the Big 10, the Big 12, and the Alantic Coast and Big East conferences.

Former University of Arizona coach Dick Tomey will coach the team.

"Some of the best players in the country will be there so hopefully I can showcase my talents," said Gilleo, who graduated in December with a degree in criminal justice.

Gilleo was the starting right tackle this fall for the Lumberjacks, who ended the year 8-3, 6-2 in the Big Sky Conference.

Over the past three years he started in every game and was a leader on the offensive line that blocked for leading rusher Zach Bauman, who was a finalist for the Water Payton Award.

"Trey brought leadership, work ethic and attention to detail," said offensive line coach Eric Reid. "He had a professional football attitude at the college level. He studied the game and his opponent and got better every year and throughout each season.

"He is the model for what people should follow for individual improvement."

The Casino del Sol All Star game is in its second year. Last year's roster produced six NFL daft picks, and an additional 61 players entered NFL training camps in July.
